Ethernet IoT Analog Signal AD Acquisition Smart Sensor Module: SY AD02 / SY AD08-RJ45 Series

        The SunYuan SY AD 08-RJ45 series products enable analog acquisition between sensors and host computers for detecting analog signals or controlling remote devices. Through software configuration, it can be used for a variety of sensor types, including: analog signal input, analog signal output, and digital signal input/output (I/O). SY AD 08-RJ45 series products can be applied in RS-232/485 bus and RJ45 interface Ethernet industrial automation control system, 4-20mA/0-10V analog measurement, monitoring and control, 0-1mA/0-30mV/small signal measurement and industrial field signal isolation. 1mA/0-30mV/small signal measurement as well as industrial field signal isolation and long line transmission.

       The products include power isolation, input and output signal isolation, linearization, A/D conversion and RS-485 serial or Ethernet communication. Each serial port can be connected to a maximum of 256 SY AD 08-RJ45 series modules, the communication method uses the serial ASCII character communication protocol or MODBUS RTU communication protocol and Ethernet MODBUS TCP, its instruction set is compatible with the ADAM module, the configuration parameters can be set by the user, and it can be hooked up to the same bus with the control modules of other manufacturers, which is convenient for computer programming.

       
      SY AD 08-RJ45 series products are intelligent monitoring and control systems based on microcontrollers. All user-set configuration information such as IP address, port number, calibration value, ID address, baud rate, data format, checksum, and status are stored in non-volatile memory EEPROM.

       SY AD 08-RJ45 series products are designed and manufactured according to industrial standards, signal input/output isolation, can withstand 3000VDC isolation voltage, strong anti-interference ability, high reliability. Operating temperature range - 45℃～+85℃.

SY AD 08-RJ45 Function Introduction

    SY AD 08-RJ45 Signal Isolation Acquisition Module can be used to measure eight voltage or current signals, supports serial port-specific ASCII command protocol and standard Modbus RTU protocol, supports Ethernet Modbus TCP protocol.

1、 Analog signal input

With 24-bit acquisition accuracy, all signal input ranges are fully calibrated before the product leaves the factory. Users can also easily program their own calibration when using the product. For specific current or voltage input ranges, please refer to the product selection, when measuring multiple signals, each input selection must be the same.

2, communication

(1) Serial communication

Communication interface: 1 standard RS-485 communication interface and 1 standard RS-232 communication interface.

Communication protocol: Support two kinds of protocols, ASCII character protocol, MODBUS RTU communication protocol. It can be programmed to use that kind of communication protocol to realize network communication with PLC, RTU or computer monitoring system of various brands.

Data format: 10 bits, 1 start bit, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit.

Communication address: (00H-FFH) and baud rate (300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400bps) can be set; the longest distance of the communication network can be up to 1200 meters, connected by twisted shielded cable. Communication interface high anti-interference design, ±15KV ESD protection, communication response time less than 100mS.

(2) Ethernet communication

Communication interface: 1 channel standard 10M Ethernet interface.

Communication protocol: Support MODBUS TCP communication protocol. Can realize network communication with many brands of PLC, computer monitoring system.

3、 Anti-interference

The calibration sum can be set as required. There are transient suppression diodes inside the module, which can effectively suppress all kinds of surge pulses and protect the module, and the internal digital filtering can also well suppress the industrial frequency interference from the power grid.

Example 1: Model: SY AD 08-RJ45-A4; indicates 8-way 4-20mA signal input, Ethernet and RS232/RS485 output.

Selection example 2: Model: SY AD 08-RJ45-A7; indicates 8-channel 0-±20mA signal input, Ethernet and RS232/RS485 output.

Selection example 3: Model No.: SY AD 08-RJ45-U1; indicates 8-channel 0-5V signal input, Ethernet and RS232/RS485 output.

Remarks: SY AD 08-RJ45 module supports RS232/RS485 and Ethernet communication interfaces at the same time, users can choose the corresponding communication interface according to the usage environment.

But at the same time: RS232/RS485 serial interface and Ethernet RJ45 interface can only have one of the two work, otherwise there will be interference.

Initializing the SY AD 08-RJ45 Module

(1) When connecting to an RS-232/RS-485 network, the SY AD 08-RJ45 module must be assigned a unique ID address code, which is a hexadecimal number that takes values between 0x00 and 0xFF. All new SY AD 08-RJ45 modules use the same factory serial port initial setup as shown below:

Since the new modules all have the same address code, their addresses will contradict the other modules, so when you set up your system you will have to reconfigure each analog input module serial port ID address. You can modify the address of the SY AD 08-RJ45 module by using the configuration commands after connecting the SY AD 08-RJ45 module power cable and RS-232/RS-485 communication cable. The baud rate, checksum status, and communication protocol also need to be adjusted according to the user's requirements. Before modifying the baud rate, checksum status and communication protocol, the module must be put into the configuration state first, otherwise it cannot be modified.

(2) When connecting to an Ethernet network, the SY AD 08-RJ45 module must be assigned a unique IP address and port number.

All new SY AD 08-RJ45 modules use the same factory network initial settings, as shown below:

IP address is 192.168.0.80

Port number is 80

Modbus TCP communication protocol

Since the IP addresses of the new modules are all the same, the IP addresses of the modules may conflict with other network IPs if they are directly networked without configuration, so when forming a system, the IP address and port number of each module must be reconfigured. You can modify the configuration parameters of the SY AD 08-RJ45 module by configuration commands after connecting the power cable and communication cable of the module, and the communication protocol can be adjusted according to the user's requirements. Before modifying the configuration parameters, you must let the module enter the configuration state first, otherwise it cannot be modified.

Method of getting the module into the configuration state

SY AD 08-RJ45 modules have a special pin labeled CONFIG. Short the CONFIG pin to ground (GND pin), and then turn on the power, this time the module enters the configuration state. In this state, the module supports ASCII characters and MODBUS TCP communication protocol, the module configuration is as follows:

(1) Serial port:

Address code 00H

Baud rate 9600 bps

Checksum disabled

ASCII character communication protocol

(2) Ethernet:

IP address is 192.168.0.80

Port number is 80

Modbus TCP communication protocol

At this point, configuration commands can be used to modify the configuration parameters of the SY AD 08-RJ45 module. When you are not sure about the specific configuration of a module, you can also install a configuration jumper to bring the module into the configuration state and then reconfigure the module.
